Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer

A Systems Engineer is required to assist with the support and further development of in-house and third party opto-electronic instrumentation. The role is based at Smart Fibres' Bracknell office, though occasional travel may be required to customer locations both within the UK and internationally.

Primary responsibilities:

• Development of LabView application and test software.
• C/C++ micro controller programming.

Additional responsibilities, subject to candidate experience:

• Electronic circuit design (analogue and digital) and PCB layout.

Candidate requirements:

• A professional qualification in a science or engineering discipline, along with at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Able to demonstrate strong LabView and C/C++ micro controller programming skills.
• A background in the development of opto-electronic instrumentation and/or experience of electronic circuit design would be highly beneficial.
• The individual will expected to work largely unsupervised, often to tight time schedules, and operate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluent English speaker.
